Where to start
Before your agreed migration
Before you begin
Choose an owner for each source file or system. Work from an approved export and keep sensitive records within your organisation's agreed handling process.
Follow these steps
- List the source systems and which one holds the current version of each record.
- Check property references, addresses and owner links for duplicates or missing values.
- Separate property/building records from room information so the proposed structure matches your billing count.
- Identify required documents, who can see them and how they should link to properties or tenancies.
- Review a representative sample with the implementation team before agreeing the full import and reconciliation checks.
Check the result
The sample should preserve property references, relationships and document access. Reconcile record counts before accepting a migration.
If something does not look right
A successful import alone does not prove the relationships are correct. Investigate unmatched owners or duplicated buildings before wider rollout.
Useful next steps
Contact the Proplix team if you need help with your setup. Include the page or record reference and a description of the issue; leave passwords and private access tokens out of the message.
