How-to guide

Clients and contacts

The current application build keeps the client record in the core Clients controller and extends the customer area with property-specific entries such as Client Database, Tenants and Landlords. This guide covers the verified client and contact workflow.

Where to click

Use these menu paths first, then complete the action from the screen you open.

Sidebar > Customers > Client Database
Clients > open customer > Contacts
Quick answerThese are the fastest verified steps for this task in the current Proplix build.

Exact steps

  1. Go to Sidebar > Customers > Client Database.
  2. Use the main page action to create a new customer record when you need a new client in the system.
  3. Open an existing customer when you need to manage its details, linked contacts, statements or related actions.
  4. Inside the customer record, open the Contacts tab or section to add, edit or manage contact persons.
  5. Save the record, then continue into any linked CRM, sales, real estate or portal workflow from the saved customer profile.

What this feature does

  • The Clients controller supports the main customer list, customer form, contacts, attachments, statements and bulk exports.
  • Contacts can be created from the customer record using the form_contact action.
  • Customer status and contact status can be changed independently.
  • The audited customer flow includes attachments, groups, vault entries, admin assignment and statement PDF / send statement actions.
  • The Real Estate module reuses the core customer area for Client Database and extends it with Tenants and Landlords.

What to do next

  • If the customer is a property contact, also review the Tenants and Landlords article in the Real Estate category.
  • For early-stage opportunities that are not customers yet, move next to the Leads guide.
