How-to guide

Customer database, tenants and landlords

The Real Estate module extends the Customers menu with Client Database, Tenants and Landlords. This keeps property-facing customer records anchored in the core customer system while exposing dedicated tenancy and landlord paths.

Where to click

Use these menu paths first, then complete the action from the screen you open.

Sidebar > Customers > Client Database
Sidebar > Customers > Tenants
Sidebar > Customers > Landlords
Quick answerThese are the fastest verified steps for this task in the current Proplix build.

Exact steps

  1. Go to Sidebar > Customers.
  2. Open Client Database if you want the full customer list, or open Tenants / Landlords if you want the filtered role-based lists.
  3. Click the page action to create a new customer or client record.
  4. Complete the main customer details, then choose Tenant or Landlord from the relevant grouping, type or category dropdown in that record workflow.
  5. Save the record, then add any linked contacts and continue into the appropriate tenancy or landlord-side property workflow from the saved customer profile.

What this feature does

  • Client Database points back to the core customers list.
  • Tenants and Landlords are added as separate customer-side menu items by the Real Estate module.
  • Client-side real-estate controllers support renter profiles, address history, income sources, household persons and property-request detail.
  • Landlord-related maintenance and payout paths also exist in the module.
  • The customer-facing side remains tied to the core Clients controller for the main record.

What to do next

  • For live maintenance by tenants, continue into Client Maintenance or Maintenance & Jobs.
  • For landlord-facing visibility, continue into the Landlord Portal help and payout-related flows.
