Where to start
Admin Area → Property Management Flow → Accounting & Arrears
Before you begin
An active tenant link and appropriate finance permissions are required before creating a rent schedule.
Follow these steps
- In Rent schedule, select the property and enter a positive Rent amount.
- Choose Monthly, Weekly, Fortnightly or Quarterly.
- Set Start, an optional End not before Start, and the applicable Due day from 1 to 28.
- Set Management fee % from 0 to 100 and choose whether the schedule is Active.
- Choose Save schedule and verify Active rent schedules.
- Choose Generate due rent charges or allow scheduled processing, then inspect the operational ledger.
Check the result
Charges and any management fee entries have the expected property, tenant, amount, reference and due dates.
If something does not look right
Generation looks ahead 31 days and catches up at most 24 periods per schedule per pass. Check dates carefully to avoid unintended historical charges. The current screen lists schedules but does not expose a general schedule edit/delete control.
Questions and answers
Why are future charges visible?
The generator deliberately includes due dates through 31 days ahead.
Does running generation twice duplicate the same period?
The generator checks the schedule/period reference before creating the charge. Creating another schedule is a different action and can duplicate the intended business rent.
When is a management fee created?
A fee entry is created with the rent charge when the configured percentage is greater than zero; it is not proof that rent was collected.
